About Colour & Some

Colour & Some is an art and design passion project started by Kris Maree.

Kris is an Australian living in Hong Kong, and ever since a young age has had a creative streak and strong interest in art and design.

‘My corporate career bought me to Hong Kong nearly seven years ago, and I love this city.

When I left school, all those decades ago, my first qualification was in graphic design. I then changed tack, I graduated from university with a social science degree, majoring in psychology and subsequently pursued a corporate career, all of which I have found very rewarding, but I’ve never lost my love for colour.

When I settled in Hong Kong, I enrolled in a diploma of interior design, and my love for art, design and colour was once again reignited.

I spend my spare time painting, usually with bright bold acrylic paints. I enjoy brightening up my corner of the world with abstract artworks.

Most recently I’ve begun turning my artworks into digital designs, and from there, into beautiful silk scarfs, now I’m able to brighten up every outfit with a pop of colour!’
